Grandma Rosemary's Peach Cobbler

This is the very best cobbler recipe I have ever had!!! Plus it is so easy!! Bob's mom made this for us years ago and we all love it! The best part you can use whatever fruit you like.
2 cups fruit
1 cup sugar
Blend together and set aside
In a large bowl mix your batter:
1 1/4 cup flour
3/4 cup sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 cup milk
pinch of salt
1/4 cup melted butter
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In a 9x13 pan melt 1 cube of butter I do this by putting the 9x13 pan in the heated oven until it melts take it out and then pour batter on top of melted butter, add fruit on top and DO NOT STIR!!! Place back in the oven,when this bakes the fruit goes to the bottom. Bake at 350 for 1 hour or golden brown. Serve with vanilla ice cream. This recipe NEVER FAILS!
We like to also mix fruits, like blueberries and raspberries, but I think peach is our favorite.
